Sr Accountant (Bilingual - GDL)

Meztal is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team. You will be the subject matter expert on all things numbers, providing essential support, troubleshooting, and leadership to community personnel. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and post general ledger journal entries.
• Prepare and review the balance sheet, income statement, accounts receivable (A/R) and accounts payable (A/P) reports, and bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and reasonableness.
• Analyze financial data, identify significant variations, and report findings to management.
• Collaborate with community and payroll staff on payroll variance reports.
• Assist with community audits to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Professional proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is indispensable.
• Ability to attend the office in Col Providencia in a hybrid work model.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a growing environment.
• US GAAP experience.
• Strong attention to detail with a keen focus on accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate status, progress, and results.
• Experience with Yardi or Avid Exchange in a senior living or real estate environment is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant computer skills.
